We advise our clients on appropriate savings vehicles for investment growth or for income, and build portfolios bespoke to each client taking into consideration attitude to risk, age, term of investment and income requirements. We can build investment portfolios for our clients using funds from all investment sectors, from lower risk fixed interest securities, to higher risk international equity funds.
It is important to make the most of your savings and we can assist you in finding the most appropriate savings vehicle for you. We can advise you on the best products for short and long term savings, tax efficient savings, portfolio construction and international Stockmarket diversification.
We can give advice on appropriate deposit based investments, traditionally held in high street banks, Building Societies or Cash ISAs.
Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs)
Cash ISA
You can have one cash ISA up to the limit of £3600 each year which will form part of your overall limit of £7200 per year.
Stocks and Shares ISA
With a Stocks and Shares ISA you can invest the full £7,200 per year including the £3600 in cash ISAs. The Stocks and Shares ISA must include a stocks and shares element.
Tessa Only ISA
Anyone who held Tessas will have previously converted these to TOISAs, these are no longer available and have been replaced by ISAs.
Unit Trusts & Open ended investment companies (OEICs)
Investors’ money is pooled to form large funds, traditionally used for medium to long-term investments in stocks and shares. They have a broad spread for diversity and greater security and are run by Professional Fund Management teams.
Units are priced on the basis of the value of the underlying investments, and Income can be distributed or re-invested, and is liable for Income Tax. There is also the potential for Capital Gains Tax (CGT), however if invested by way of an ISA, no CGT is payable
We have the facility through Platform Wraps to create investment portfolios dependent on clients attitude to risk, and investment experience, using the most reputable fund managers and the best performing funds in the required investment sectors. Investment bonds
Single premium (i.e. lump sum investment) into a non-qualifying life assurance policy. Using an investment bond, you can invest into a broad spectrum of investments, from deposit based funds, gilts and bonds, through to international equities. These medium to long-term investments can be unit-linked or With-Profits based. They can be set up for withdrawals with specified income requirements, and there is no personal liability for basic rate Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax.
